couldn't take another sleepless nite (since sunday evening), so decided to take a sleeping pill (my 2nd of 5 issued) my doc prescribed... gawd that felt good. did wake up mid-morning as usual but not enuf to goto d loo. so yea, was still feeling sleepy dis morning but at least i wasn't cranky like d previous day.
for the uninitiated, a few things about me:
been unable to sleep fitfully at nite past few years, but more acutely past 1 year... been thinking too much (still do). unable to easily 'switch-off' brain during zzz time (maybe its time to try some yoga....or say goosefraba). light sleeper, cant sleep wit loud noise & light, easily jolted; once awake difficult to go back to sleep. i also get cranky & get irritated easily when i suffer lack of sleep.
asked d doctor during my 2nd hepatitis d shot for some advice & he prescribed me some sleeping pills wit strict instructions not to take them daily but only when absolutely necessary. he also advised keeping track of my usage, and to inform him when i've finished d 5 tablets he issued so he can advise further medications if necessary.
took my 1st one some 2-3 weeks ago, didn't really work i think as i still woke up mid-morning; a persistent & aggravating problem even after trying out some remedies like herbal sleep, chamomile tea & various 'sleep suggestions' etc.
thought getting an airconditioned room would help to alleviate the problem but turns out, its dang noisy & turning it on while sleeping wont help at all; nowadays jus use it when not sleeping & use the fan whn zzz-ing.
sigh...seriously don't know how much of this i can take. did a full medical checkup a few months back & doc gave me a clean bill of health (very surprisingly) as i was very worried about sleep deprevation to the point that i thought i was suffering from diabetes. i know that lack of sleep can have severe long-term effect on health but i really don't know how to come up with an effective long term solution to this problem.
& no counting sheep doesnt help >_<
ah well...
